Deodorant compsn. in the form of a gel. comprises (i) 2-30 wt; Na polyacrylate or ammonium polyacrylate of M.wt 40,000-300,000; (ii) 1-10 wt; di-or polyglycidyl ether; (iii) 5-40 wt.% chemical reaction type deodoriser contg. a betaine cpd. as active ingredient; and (iv) water. The polyglycidyl ether is pref. trimethylol propane-, diglycerol-or glycerol polyglycidyl ether.
