摘要

Prodn. of water-insoluble disazo dyes on the fibre comprises (a) impregnating the fibrous material with a coupler of formula (2), then (b) treating it with a diazonium deriv. of diamine (1). The coupling reaction takes place at pH 4-10 (pref. 6-9). In formulae (1) and (II) R = 3-5C alkyl or 1-3C alkoxy(2-4C)alkyl (totalling 3-5C); Z = H, halo or 1-4C alkoxy; Aryl = phenyl or 1-naphthyl, opt. substd. by 1-3 of halo, NO2, 1-4C alkyl or 1-4C alkoxy.
