The central heating system has a boiler providing circulated hot water and incorporates regulation of the water circulation temp ensuring that a max temp value (VTmax) is not exceded, with the required circulation temp (VTso11) determined from the room temp, or set by hand. A comparator provides the difference between the actual circulation temp and the required circulation temp-coupled to a setting control, adjusting the regulation of the burner modulation phase to correct the circulation temp. Pref. the modulation range is reduced in steps, with reducing difference between the required circulation temp (VTso11) and the max circulation temp (VTmax). ADVANTAGE - Prevents damage to system by excessive circulation temps.
