The road vehicle steering wheel has an inner cone on to which fits an outer cone on a nave on the steering column. A recess coaxial with the nave accommodates a nut which engages on a threaded end section of the steering column in order to clamp the two cones so that they do not rotate. On the recess (12) is an elastic nose (13) formation which ensures insertion of the nut (8) in the recess and its retention there. On the nave side, the nut has an all-round collar (9) behind which the nose formation engages, extending over the total periphery of the recess. The nose formation is provided on the edge of the recess turned away from the nave (2). USE - As a steering wheel for a road vehicle.
