A screwing instrument with a motorised head has a receptacle for a screw or a nut, or it may be used to cut threads. It has a channel (11) coaxial with the rotation axis of the head (7) continuing through the head (12) from an initial opening or receptacle (8) to an outward opening (13) on the opposite side of the head (14). A rotating tool can be inserted coaxially in the receptacle (8), and the channel (11) has a crown cog wheel (6) inside the head which drives the head in conjunction with another gear (5) on the end of the motor spindle.
