Packing plastics bottles with hot viscous fluids - involves drop of liq. gas to clear condensable vapours from dead space volume

When packing hot viscous fluids in a first stage the dead space volume of the bottle (6) is first flushed out with sterile air and then in a second stage a drop (5) of deep-cooled gas is dripped into the bottle before the capsulating process. The size of the drop of gas is measured so that the volume increase conditioned by the temp. rise corresponds exactly to the volume contraction of the fluid. USE/ADVANTAGE - The plastics bottle retains its shape during packing of hot viscous fluids.
