PURPOSE:To increase a mechanical strength by arraying a linear light source fixed in series in the circular arc form, and scanning them by rotating a plane disk in which photoconductors passing through the center line have been embedded, in an optical scanner for obtaining a hard copy on a recording paper. CONSTITUTION:When the motor 5 is rotated in the direction as indicated with an arrow A, the plane disk 1 and the printing position designating plate 7 are rotated, and one of the photoconductors 2-4 which have been embedded in the plane disk 1 at equal angles is able to receive in order the optical beams of plural light sources 10. The light source 10 is a linear light emission substance having the length of one character by the number of characters which are necessary for printing on the whole surface of recording paper, and an image is formed on the photosensitive drum 14 through the lens 11, the prism 12, the photoconductors 2-4, and the lens system 13. The printing position designating plate 7 clearly designates the character position, namely, the position of the light source 10, and the position where the length of each linear light source of the light emission part has been split to each dot required for constituting a character, and the dot for character constitution is image-formed on the drum 14 at every light source. |
