PURPOSE:To enable the fixing of a developer by a pressure fixing method and prevent ground stain by mixing a microcapsule type toner contg. a liq. as the core with a carrier about equal to or smaller than the toner in particle size distribution. CONSTITUTION:A microcapsule type toner contg. a liq. as the core and having 12-15mum particle size distribution is mixed with a carrier having 6-12mum particle size distribution so as to adjust the carrier concn. to 6-18%. Thus, a developer for electrostatic photography is prepared. The toner is required to have >=10<15>OMEGA.cm insulating property, and Fe2O3, ferrite, NiCo or the like is used as the toner. The resulting developer is used in a magnetic brush developing method applying the rotation of a sleeve, and the upstanding tuft of the brush is relatively low, e.g., it has about 0.8-1.5mm. height. |
