The separator comprises a drum (2) rotatable on a shaft (1), with a magnetic system (3) inside it. The drum dips into the lower area of a bath-type housing (4) in which the work material consisting of magnetisable and non-magnetisable constituents is fed for sepn. laterally (5). The magnetic system (3) in the drum (2) produces a strong magnetic field, attracting the magnetisable material to the wall outer wall, there to be retained. This material is eventually removed into a trough-shaped container (8) from which it is withdrawn downwards. The non-magnetisable material leaves the bath-type housing downwards via a central outlet (10). USE - To separate magnetisable and non-magnetisable materials.
