<p>PURPOSE:To give propulsion force for movement to a cage uniformly and efficiently and smoothly move the cage by constituting an elevator drive device out of linear motors arranged on the four corners of the cage. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of electromagnets 50 are arranged in a building on the four position on both outside the four guide rails for an elevator and extending for full length of the passage for the elevator. Permanent magnets 52 corresponding to the electromagnets 50 are fitted on the plates 49 projected from the four corners of a cage 18, reinforced with stays 51. Hereby, the electromagnets 50 and the permanent magnets 52 constitutes linear motors for an elevator in which the electromagnet 50 is a stator and the permanent magnet 52 is a movable element. The linear motors 54 move the cage 18 in the elevator passage 14 in the ascending and descending directions or stop the movement by controlling ampere of alternating current and frequency in the electromagnets 50 with a control device.</p> |
