A carriageway border system allows light traffic unimpeded crossing. Between the two edges of the interrupted carriageway surface (3, 4) is an element with limited flexibility (2) which gives way under increased loading and acts like a kerb to motor vehicles. The flexible element (2) is set in a profiled concrete gutter, and it can be an elastic foam element. USE/ADVANTAGE - Gives protection and greater freedom of movement to non vehicular traffic.
