In a method and device for the use of hydrocarbons and biomasses with generation of hydrogen during the thermal cracking thereof, the thermal cracking of the hydrocarbons and dry biomasses is carried out with exclusion of air and the energy required for cracking is provided, if desired, by combustion of a part of the hydrogen formed during cracking, energy supplied from a high-temperature nuclear reactor or supply of energy generated by solar technology, and the resulting hydrogen or the remaining hydrogen is used especially for energy purposes and the resulting carbon is made available for a use which does not generate energy, or is stored. Diverse fixed and also mobile devices can be realised on this basis, a mobile device (1, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11) with a tank (8) containing a liquid hydrocarbon being, inter alia, possible which feeds the hydrogen produced in the thermal cracking to a motor (11) or to a fuel cell, a part of the hydrogen being burned for the energy required for the cracking, preferably catalytically or with assistance of a catalyst. |
