PURPOSE:To raise the air-tightness of window by a method in which a gasket having a fitting groove formed by cantilever pieces provided on the lengthwise both sides of a rubbery elastic long bar is connected with a U-shaped long metal plate as reinforcing plate. CONSTITUTION:A window frame 21 is formed of a window frame material 4 consisting of a rubbery elastic long gasket 5 and a long metal reinforcing plate 6, where a window 1 is formed of glass plate and a pair of cantilever pieces 7 and 8 are formed on the lengthwise both sides of a long bar to form a fitting groove. The plate 6 is closely fitted into the groove 9a by turning the open face 6a outwards and fixed integrally with an adhesive. The gasket 5 is provided with a rigidity by the metal reinforcing plate 6a to form a specific shape and the fitting groove 9 is formed by keeping the elasticity of the pieces 7 and 8 intact. The window having groove air-tightness can thus be formed.
