PURPOSE:To contrive improvements in shock resistance and molding efficiency while preventing dispersion in thicknesses of a bumper, by a method wherein after a reinforcing center material made of thermosetting resin formed beforehand is set up within a mold, a liquid synthetic resin is cast and filled into a space between the reinforcing center material and mold, which is caused to react and cured. CONSTITUTION:A bumper 10 for an automobile possesses a reinforcing center material 11 made of synthetic resin and fitted to a fitting plate 12 with a bolt 13 of the fitting plate 12 which is insertion-molded between the bumper 10 and center material 11. The reinforcing center material 11 is formed beforehand by making use of a thermosetting resin material having rigidity and heat resistance. Then the reinforcing center material 11 is supported on a bottom force 23 side for setting between a top force 22 molding the surface of the bumper 10 and a bottom force 23 molding the back of the bumper 10 by making use of bolts 13...13 so that a fixed gap t is left among the reinforcing center material 11 using as a core and center material and molding surfaces 22a, 23a each. Then when synthetic resin for a liquid bumper is cast and filled into the gap t, and the same is caused to react and cured, the bumper 10 where the core and center material 11 and fitting plate 12 to which an appropriate number of bolts 13 are set up are molded integrally is molded. |
