LIGHT PROJECTION DEVICE WITH REFLECTING MIRROR

PURPOSE:To obtain proper reflected light at the time of incorporation in an image projection device even if a light transmission body and a concave reflecting mirror are fitted deviating from each other by making the external diameter of the concave reflecting mirror larger than the external diameter of the light transmission body. CONSTITUTION:After the concava reflecting mirror 3 and a metal halide lamp 1 are united, the light transmission body 7 formed of a light-transmissive material such as glass is fitted in the opening part of the reflecting mirror 3 with an adhesive. The external diameter of this light transmission body 7 is smaller than the external diameter of the reflecting mirror 3 and the peripheral edge of the reflecting mirror 3 projects from the light transmission body 7. Therefore, the projecting peripheral edge of the reflecting mirror 3 is used as an installation reference surface of the incorporation in the image projection device. Consequently, even if the light transmission body 7 and reflecting mirror 3 are fitted deviating, the proper reflected light is obtained when they are incorporated in the image projection device.
