PURPOSE:To detect an abnormal shadow image by a relatively simple filter by installing an abnormal shadow image detecting means which scans a plurality of radioactive ray images having different factors and obtains the abnormal shadow images having different dimension. CONSTITUTION:In this invention, an image before the change of factor which the image data S1 burdens is named as original image. Among a number of picture elements which are arranged in the longitudinal and lateral directions of the original image, total nine picture elements consisting of three picture elements each in the longitudinal and lengthwise directions are set into a pair, and the average value of the image data corresponding to nine picture elements is obtained, and the operation for setting this average value as the new image data corresponding to one picture element of each 1/3, 1/9, or 1/27 contracted image is carried out over the whole surface of the original image, and the 1/3, 1/9, or 1/27 contracted image is formed on the image data. When a prescribed picture element P0 is a picture element in an abnormal shadow image, the abnormal shadow image on the X-ray image is detected by scanning the X-ray image by using a filter which outputs the large characteristic value. |
