In contrast to methods for producing spagyric essence from plants known up to now, the present method provides standardized products with defined alcohol content in respect to the dried remainder of the plants used. The components of a spagyric essence which, from a spagyric viewpoint, are essential fermentation alcohol, volatile aromatics and soluble mineral salts - are obtained completely and in pure form. The production method is characterized by a charge process for yeast fermentation which prevents the development of undesired microorganisms, gentle vacuum distillation, complete reduction to ash with exhaustive extraction of the mineral materials as well as varied methods for removing extracted impurities. Spagyric essences or basic tinctures are used as medicaments in human and veterinary medicine. |
