PURPOSE:To obtain a high quality recording image by detecting a positioning error in a recording system based on a difference between a position of an image part read out through an image read-out means and a set recording position of the image part and then setting an image recording timing variably. CONSTITUTION:An image processing means 2 detects an actual shift of image recording position, i.e., a positioning error of a recording system, based on the difference between the position of an image read out through an image read-out means 9 and a set recording position. When the recording timing is varied so that thus detected positioning error is eliminated, the ensuring image is recorded at the set recording position or an actual recording position. According to this constitution, positional shift of character line or variation of profile of the recording image can be corrected resulting in a high quality recording image. |
