PURPOSE:To provide a plant-activation agent containing a specific refined wood vinegar obtained by the dry distillation of wood and sugars containing glucose at specific ratio, effective in restoring the fatigue of plant caused by various stresses and exhibiting highly safe plant-activation effect. CONSTITUTION:The objective agent contains, as essential components, (A) 97-80 pts.wt. of refined wood vinegar produced by removing tar and resin component from crude wood vinegar obtained by the dry distillation of wood and (B) 3-20 pts wt. of sugars containing >=10wt.% of glucose as a monosaccharide component, preferably inverted sugar which is an equimolar mixture of glucose and fructose. The refined wood vinegar is useful as an industrial raw material, food additive, medicine, agricultural chemical, soil improver, etc., and the excellent objective effect can be attained by compounding the wood vinegar with sugars exhibiting an action of lubricant in the absorption of the vinegar from the leaf surface or root cell and promoting the absorption of glucose to the plant. The agent is preferably diluted 50-300 times in use. |
