POWER SUPPLY FOR A MAGNETRON

: A power supply for a magnetron is provided with an inverter circuit and a high-tension transformer. In order to shorten the time required from supplying power to the cathode of the magnetron to the arrival at the rated output at the start of oscillation, there is a mechanism for detecting the oscillation start time of the magnetron, such mechanism so controlling the operation that the rated output is reached immediately after the oscillation starts. A winding on the high-tension transformer for detecting the output voltage can be used to detect the oscillation of the magnetron.
