PURPOSE:To attain anti-aliasing luminance modulation processing considering a change in developing characteristics by correcting the luminance value or density modulation processing result of, anti-aliasing processing in accordance with the residual level of developer to be used. CONSTITUTION:This graphic output device is provided with a detection means 590 (y, m, c, bk) for detecting the residual level of the developer to be used by a developing processor 516 and a correction means for correcting the luminance value or density modulation processing result of the anti-aliasing in accordance with the residual level detected by the detection means. A toner residual level is detected from relation between toner residual in a hopper and the change of the developing characteristics due to the selection of grain size and relation between the anti-aliasing processing level and a luminance modulating condition is corrected in accordance with the detected detection output level. Consequently, the anti-aliasing luminance modulation processing considering a change in the developing characteristics due to the toner residual and the change of grain size can be obtained. |
