<p>PURPOSE: To eliminate picture quality hindering phenomena mixed in luminance signals and chrominance components and the deterioration of resolution by detecting operations from the difference signal between a video signal pattern in a field and a frame to adjust the band of a three-dimensional filter having a vertical axis, a horizontal axis, and a time base by using the detected signal. CONSTITUTION: The luminance (Y) signal of a gamma-correction and matrix 4 are connected to the input terminal of a first filter (FIL1) 12 and the output terminals of low-pass filters (LPF1 and LPF2) 10 and 11 are connected to the input terminals of second and third filters (FIL2 and FIL3) 13 and 14 and, in addition, to a pattern and operation detecting circuit 7 so that the circuit 7 detects the pattern and operations upon receiving luminance (Y). The output signal of the circuit 7 is inputted to the first to third filters (FIL1 - FIL3) 12-14 and the output of the first filter (FIL1) 12 is connected to a synthesizer 6. The outputs of the second and third filters (FIL2 and FIL3) 23 and 14 are inputted to a quadrature phase modulator 5 and the output signal of the modulator 5 is synthesized by means of the synthesizer 6. The output of the synthesizer 6 is filtered by means of a low-pass filter (LPF3) 8.</p> |
