<p>A composite tube is produced comprising metal inner and outer tubes and an intermediate layer of fibre-reinforced matrix material contg. plastic. The inner and outer tubes and the layer are evenly distorted in the radial direction to alter diameters, one at least of the tubes permanently distorted. After the tubes spring back, they and the layer are joined together to leave no free movement.</p> |
