发明名称 ELECTROLYTE MATRIX FOR FUEL CELL
摘要 PURPOSE:To provide sufficient mechanical strength and low water repellent property by using as a binder for a matrix layer a polyphenylenesulphide resin by a specified mixture ratio relative to particles having resistance against electrolyte. CONSTITUTION:A fuel cell is constituted by laminating a plural number of single cells, with a separator 4 interposed in between, each consisting of a pair of porous electrodes 3 with their opposing surfaces formed with a catalyst layer 2, with an electrolyte-impregnated matrix layer 1 sandwiched in between. The matrix layer 1 is formed with particles having resistance against electrolyte and with polyphenylenesulphide resin as a binder. The mixture ratio of polyphenylenesulphide resin relative to the electrolyte resistant particles is 10-30 weight%. With this constitution, an electrolyte matrix having a sufficient mechanical strength low water repellent property for fuel cells is provided.
