PURPOSE:To excavate a tunnel through the ground as a desired drilled form by drilling dual single-section tunnels parallelly at the same time with two main cutters, while cutting a valley area lying between these tunnel into a sectoral form by means of a wiper type rocker cutter. CONSTITUTION:A pair of single-section tunnel drilling machines 2, 3 of the same cylindrical size are separably installed in parallel, constituting a shield drilling machine 1. Next, each body barrel 5 of these drilling machines 2, 3 is separated to two parts, a front barrel 7 equipped with a main cutter 6 in the front and a rear barrel. Then, a weight type barrel part 11 equipped with a pair of wiper type rocker cutters 10 rotatably at both vertical sides of the front surface and two skin plates 12, 13 are set up in space between these machines 2 and 3, thereby constituting an intermediate drilling machine 4. With this constitution, duel single-section tunnels are parallelly drilled at the same time, and simultaneously all parts of the valley area is tunneled by the wiper type rocker cutter 10 alone. |
