A device for data-marking mouldings, and injection mouldings in partic. has marks inserted into the mould which produce a copy of the markings required. A fixed carrier has one marking, a second carrier can be adjusted relative to the first and has a second marking which can be varied in relation to the first; and the two carriers are combined into one replaceable unit inserted into the mould. ADVANTAGE - The markings can be e.g. the date of prodn. of the mouldings concerned. The set-up saves cost. It offers easy access to the marks for resetting purposes. There is no significant risk that the markings will be altered by the moulding process.
