The headrest of a reclining chair can be swung away from the top of the supporting frame to disclose a compartment inside which can be retained audio equipment such as a stereo radio receiver or tape or disc player of a compact type. Articles such as sun glasses, sun tan cream or oil can be housed in additional space behind the headrest. Loudspeakers can also be incorporated in the head rest, e.g. each side of the compartment.
