The invention relates to a device for assembling perforated sheets into a packet. It comprises a pair of identical pegs (1, 1') each having one side (33, 33') formed into a series of nonreturn teeth (4), these pegs being designed to be inserted head-to-tail in a perforation (50) running through the sheets, the toothed sides (33, 33') being placed against each other. The total cross-section of the two juxtaposed pegs fits closely inside that of the perforation (50). Each peg has a head (2, 2') which stops against one side (51, 52) of the packet. <IMAGE>
