PURPOSE:To prepare the title compsn. giving a molded article excellent in flame retardance and mechanical strengths by compounding a polypropylene resin with wollastonite, a polyethylene resin, a petroleum resin, a silane coupling agent, and three specific components. CONSTITUTION:The title compsn. comprises 12-25wt.% (melamine-modified) ammonium polyphosphate, 5-10wt.% at least one compd. selected from the group consisting of reaction products of 5-membered or higher heterocyclic ketones having two or more nitrogen atoms in the heterocyclic ring with formaldehyde, reaction products of 5-membered or higher heterocyclic thioketones having two or more nitrogen atoms in the heterocyclic ring with formaldehyde, or 1,3,5-triazine derivs. of the formula, 5-25wt.% wollastonite. 5-25wt.% polyethylene resin, 1-10wt.% petroleum resin, 3-25wt.% polypropylene modified with an unsatd. carboxylic acid, 0.3-5wt.% silane coupling agent, and 15-68wt.% polypropylene resin, the sum of all the components being 100wt.%. |
