<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the continuity of runaway even when the runaway of a CPU occurs temporarily by starting a monitoring timer through a transmission/reception start signal and resetting the monitoring timer through a standby signal. CONSTITUTION:A monitoring timer 12 is started by a transmission/reception start signal 13, and the count value of the monitoring timer is reset by a standby signal 18 when a CPU1 is in a standby state. Therefore, even when the runaway of the CPU1 occurs, the runaway of the CPU1 can be forcedly interrupted when a series of data processing is terminated, that is, when the transmission/ reception operation is terminated. Thus, the runaway of the CPU1 is not continued even when it occurs, and the unserviceable of an IC card 20 can be eliminated.</p> |
