<p>PURPOSE:To improve detection precision by providing a pigment film containing a pigment with hydrophilic radical on a substrate, and utilizing the fact that the light reflection coefficient of the pigment film is changed in response to the moisture quantity in the atmosphere. CONSTITUTION:A pigment expressed by the formula is used, its methanol solution 2wt.% is coated on a glass plate (50X50X1mm) to form a pigment film 12 with the thickness 0.08mum. It is used to assemble a sensor constituted of a light emitting element 21 and a light receiving element 22 as shown by the figure. An LED with the wavelength 950nm is used for the light emitting element 21, and a PIN diode is used for the light receiving element 22 respectively. A wide concentration range to be measured and good linearity are obtained. A moisture sensing film is made of the single-layer pigment film 12, the very uniform and homogeneous thin film is obtained, the response as a sensor is quick, and the reflection coefficient can be kept high and stable.</p> |
