Device for recording and processing marine magnetism data, comprising at least one magnetometer (100) towed by a ship (200) and at least one magnetometric station (400) installed on a site on land. According to the present invention, the said ship is equipped with a first station (201) of a location system, capable of exchanging location messages with a second station (401), also installed on the said site on land, and a third station (221) installed on a float (220) towed by the said ship (200). The location messages furthermore include words reserved for the magnetometric data coming from the magnetometer (100) and from the said second station (401). Application to the field of detection of marine magnetic anomalies, and more particularly to searching for cavities capable of containing oil or natural gas. <IMAGE>
