The catch, which is designed to interact with a movable stop member (11), comprises two elements, one of which is fixed permanently to one of the leaves; and the other of which is removable, one of these elements being a female element (8), the cavity (15) of which includes at least one access opening (16), and the other element being a male element (9), the geometry and the dimensions of the cross-section of the said cavity (15) and of that of the said male element (9) allowing a nesting between the two such that a part (17) termed "joining part" of one of the elements is received in, or receives, the other one, whereas the non-received, or non-receiving part (18) termed "extending part" extends largely beyond the closure line (z, z'), and one of the elements (9) exhibits a recess (2J) designed to receive the said movable stop member (11). <IMAGE>
