摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To measure the inherent transient recovery voltage with no wave-form distortion by connecting a vacuum circuit breaker to the connecting terminal of a circuit breaker under test, triggering a gap to feed a voltage source current, cutting off the voltage source current at the proper time, and measuring the inherent transient recovery voltage generated at both ends of the vacuum circuit breaker. CONSTITUTION:High voltage is charged to the capacitor Cs of a transient recover voltage generating circuit W. A gap G is triggered to feed a voltage source current IW3 to a vacuum circuit breaker VCB. The vacuum circuit breaker VCB is opened while the voltage source current IW3 is fed. The current IW3 is cut off when the circuit breaker VCB is opened, then the transient recovery voltage determined by elements Cs, Lb, Re, Ce, C0 constituting the circuit W is applied to the circuit breaker VCB. The circuit breaker VCB has a high insulation recovery characteristic and can charge the voltage near the actual load test voltage to the voltage source capacitor Cs, the transient recovery voltage is not affected by the arc voltage and has no distortion due to defective contact and the like, thus the inherent transient recovery voltage wave-form nearly the same as that at the actual load test is obtained.</p>
