The present invention relates to an infrared signal receiver circuit intended especially to equip a remote control receiver installed on board a vehicle. It also relates to a remote control assembly employing such a circuit. The invention is characterised particularly in that it includes a compensation circuit (3) which reestablishes the level of the signal on the bias current passing through the infrared reception circuit (2) and in that, before decoding in an appropriate circuit (8), the received signal passes through an adapted filter (S-7).
