PURPOSE:To enable a user who is not familiar to easily handle the microscope device by detecting the balance quantity of a support part based upon variation in the weight of a microscope main body due to the attachment or detachment of an accessory, driving an adjusting mechanism part according to the detection result, and automatically correcting the balance of the support part. CONSTITUTION:When a side viewer and a camera are mounted on the microscope main body 12, a weight detecting element 13 sends a corresponding detection signal to a measuring circuit. The measuring circuit sends its measured value to a CPU. The CPU sends a driving signal corresponding to the measured value to a pulse motor 25. The motor 25 rotates according to the driving signal and drives and rotates a screw body 22 through 1st and 2nd gears 28 and 27 to adjust the position of an operation element 21 by a quantity corresponding to the weight variation of the main body 12. Consequently, the energizing force of a liquid spring part 20 is automatically varied to correct the unbalance of a parallel link mechanism part 15 on a counter balance basis. |
