<p>PURPOSE:To prevent physical information stored in a card from easily rewritten from terminal equipment by turning one area of a second semiconductor memory to store the physical information of the card to be the area where the write-in is impossible. CONSTITUTION:A first semiconductor memory is formed by a static RAM 1, and a second semiconductor memory is formed by an EEPROM 2 respectively. The 0 to 7 FF addresses of this EEPROM 2 become a memory area R1 where rewriting can not be performed, and 800 to 1FFF addresses become a memory area R2 where rewriting is possible. Therefore, the physical information of this IC card which should not be easily rewritten from the terminal equipment is stored in the memory area R1 where rewriting can not be performed, and the format information or the like of built-in data is stored in the memory area R2 where rewriting is possible. Thus, the rewriting of the physical information of the card from the terminal equipment can be prevented.</p> |
