The railway locomotive body comprises floor (5), roof (6) and sides (7) together with two head sections (8,8a). Each of the latter has a rearwards sloping front wall. The latter extends for less than the full width of the body, and joins onto flat wall sections inclined to the sides. These sections are at an obtuse angle to the sides and front wall. The front wall can be of trapezium shape and wider at the top, but of less than the full body width at this point also. ADVANTAGE - Simplicity, and improved aerodynamic shape.
