<p>A sealing and/or consolidation agent for ground and construction materials is provided comprising a concentrated alkaline solution of non- colloidal silica obtained by dissolving silica with an average particle diameter of less than 100<0>, in soda. The SiO2/Na2O ratio is less than 2 and the silica content greater than 20% by weight. The agent can be used by injection into the ground or material to be treated. If the ground to be treated is poor in hydrated lime, lime or a calcium salt may be added to the agent.</p> |
