The vehicle has a height-adjustable platform, or box, on a conventional lorry chassis. At the rear of the platform is an auxiliary operating platform with its operating levers within the operator's view at the rear of the vehicle. The steering directions from the auxiliary operating platform are inverted from those of the vehicle driver's cab. The auxiliary platform rises and falls with the loading platform. It is accessed through a sliding door (20), and has a side window (26,28) and separate electric lighting.
