The bearing has two cooperating seating flanges (14,18) for guiding the photoconductive drum (10). One flange (14) is integral with the drive shaft (13) of the photoconductive drum (10). The second flange (18) is displaced axially along the drive shaft to cooperate with the second free end of the drum (10), under control of a screw tensioning device (26). The second flange (18) is centred relative to the drive shaft (13) via expansion members acting between them. Pref. the inner edge of the second flange (18) and/or the free end of the drum (10) has a conical configuration.
