Producing hollow components, esp. hollow components for use in the insides of motor vechicles, includes using a powder-slush process. A mould is filled with the required amt. of material, which is closed so that the component to be produced has the required wall strength. The mould is then closed and heated so that the powder can still run and does not stick on the walls. The mould is then slowly rotated and further heated. Once the adhesion temp. of the powder is reached the rotational speed of the mould is raised until the powder is uniformly distributed. The mould is rotated until the powder gels, after which it is stopped and the component is removed. ADVANTAGE - The process is simple and produces hollow components with good characteristics. (0/0)
