PURPOSE:To obtain a small-sized, high torque and very accurate apparatus by joining a bimorph piezoelectric actuator having a fitting section on its tip to the free end of another piezoelectric actuator which is secured at one end. CONSTITUTION:A piezoelectric actuator 1 is secured at one end. A supporting section 2 of a bimorph piezoelectric actuator 3 is joined to the free end of the piezoelectric actuator 1 so that both piezoelectric actuators 1 and 3 may be connected linearly. A pawl 5 installed at the tip of the piezoelectric actuator 3 gets in gear with one of tooth-like recessed parts 6 of a slider section 4 when the piezoelectric actuator 1 extends. When the piezoelectric actuator 3 bends, the slider section 4 takes a tooth forward. When the piezoelectric actuator 1 shrinks to get the pawl 5 and the recessed part 6 of the slider section 4 out of gear and then the piezoelectric actuator 3 bends, the pawl 5 makes a backward movement on the slider section 4 for one tooth. |
