PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of a driving apparatus by a method wherein the floating member provided with a key to be fitted into the key seat in a work is moved by means of a cam which contacts with the end surface of the work. CONSTITUTION:A face plate 26 mounted at the end of a spindle 15 is provided with a radially movable floating member 32, which is energized by a spring toward the spindle center. To the floating member 32, a key 35 whose end is formed into a semilunar cam surface 35a is secured, and said member 32 is sandwiched by driving members 52 fromboth sides to transmit a rotational force thereto. When a work W is axially inserted, the cam surface 35a contacts with the work axial end, causing the key 35 to be pushed up. Then, the key 35 is fitted into a semilunar key seat S by the energizing force of the spring. Besides the key 35, a supporting part to contact with the circumferential surface of the work W is formed on the floating member 32. |
