The fluid line control system allows a pair of lines to be opened and closed in alternation using a main slider and an auxiliary slider (SH, SN). Each slider has an associated displacement monitoring system (WH, WN), operating electrically, electronically or optoelectronically. Pref. each slider (SH, SN) cooperates with 2 adjustable and switches (S1..S4), with the switch contacts coupled together to ensure safety cut-out of both drives (MH, MN) for the 2 sliders (SH, SN). USE/ADVANTAGE - Simple coupled line control for process plant.
