Nozzle for a laser beam tool in which the nozzle body (2) is split into a tip section (3) and a remaining section (4) which are joined together with an insulation adhesion layer. The nozzle electrode (16) is placed directly in contact with the tip section (3) via an insulated screw cap (18). The insulation adhesive is a ceramic adhesive. The connecting surfaces between the tip (3) and remaining (4) sections may be insulating oxide coatings or an insulating section may be inserted between the two. ADVANTAGE - The nozzle can be much narrower at its end which leads to improved cooling of the nozzle electrode as well as making its construction cheaper.
