A dynamo electric machine has end caps secured at the ends of the yoke member by through bolts which pass through a hole in at least one of the end caps. The hole in the end cap is enlarged in diameter and its walls axially extended to form an annular flange 14 and a slot 15 provided so that in use water in the machine will pass through the hole around the shank of the bolt and discharge through orifice 15. |
