In a self-levelling mortar mix contg. anhydrite, activator salts, fluidiser, surfactants and water coarse-grained synthetic anhydrite and finely ground anhydride are simultaneously present. Pref. the mix contains coarse grained synthetic anhydrite (99.5 wt.% max. 8 mm. and 75 wt.% more than 0.25 mm.) and finely ground anhydrite (at least 80 wt.% max. 0.09 mm.) in the wt. ratio 1-6:1, pref. 4:1. The ratio of water to synthetic anhydrite is 0.1-0.2, pref. 0.12-0.19.
