PURPOSE:To offer a double-side recording system electrostatic recorder which is much more compact by utilizing the outer wall surfaces of a developing device and a developer supply device as a guiding path for a recording medium. CONSTITUTION:The developer supply container 22 for supplying developer to the developing device 18 is provided on the above side of the device 18, and the guiding path 24 for the recording paper is formed by the opposed wall surface parts between the container 22 and the device 18 and the recording paper is guided to a transfer roller 20 by the path 24. In the case of recording on both sides of the recording paper, the recording paper passing through a fixing device 44 is temporarily guided to a pair of recording paper ejecting rollers 48, and the driving of the pair of rollers 48 is stopped before the paper is ejected on a recording paper receiving board 50, while the trailing edge side of the recording paper is left as it is interposed between the pair of rollers 48. By driving and rotating the pair of rollers 48 in a reverse direction next, the recording paper is carried on a horizontal guiding plate 54 along the wall surface parts 22b, 22c and 22d of the outer wall surface of the container 22, and smoothly guided to a guiding path 68 from an inclined wall surface part 22d to be wound in a recording medium carrying roller 34a. Thus, a toner image is fixed and recorded on both sides of the recording paper. |
