PURPOSE:To obtain a reliable analysis value through the improvement of a collection precision, by a method wherein a means, which detects an amount of a liquid sampling in a cap, wherein the liquid sampling is housed, is installed. CONSTITUTION:A nozzle 26, connected to a pippette 11, and a liquid level detecting line 27 are mounted at an arm of a moving mechanism 9. The liquid level detecting line 27 is connected to a liquid level detecting circuit 28. With a position detection switch 7 in a sampler 1 actuated and when a signal, indicating that a cap 3 stops in a collection position 6, is sent, the arm of the moving mechanism 9 of a branching device 10 is lowered. This causes insertion of the nozzle 26 into a liquid sampling and the nozzle is caused to suspend falling at a point of time when the liquid level detecting line 27 makes contact with a liquid level. The detecting line 27 is installed such that it is positioned up to the height from the lower and of the nozzle 26 which is equivalent to that of a given suction liquid amount. When both the nozzle and the detecting line make contact with the liquid sampling, a given amount of the liquid sampling is sucked with the pippette 11 actuated. |
